Donetsk People’s Republic Prime Minister Resigns, Names Field Commander as Successor -- RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, August 7 (RIA Novosti) — The prime minister of Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Boroday, announced his resignation Thursday.

My Comment: There are many reasons for this resignation .... but the main one is to blunt Western accusations that the rebellion was being run by Moscow. Also .... pro-rebel forces were not happy with recent losses and the perception that they were "pawns" of Moscow. And while I do not expect this resignation to impact the course of this civil war (Alexander Boroday will still stay on as a deputy), it does tell me that there is dissension in the rebel ranks, and they are looking for a new strategy/leadership to fight this civil war.
